Program LIVES Week 8 Recap
March 22, 2015
We had a great session this week with our group participants!
This week focused on life goals. We talked about the participant's goals and specifically, we spoke about what the next 5, 10 and 15 years look like. Additionally, we spoke about what steps need to be taken in order to meet these goals. It's one thing to have goals, it's another to think about the specific path that needs to be taken to reach those goals. We want our participants to be able to reach their goals and a big part of doing that is having them understand what steps need to be taken to reach these goals.
Speaking of goals, we had great responses to what our participants want to be. A few participants spoke about becoming lawyers and we also had a participant who expressed interest in becoming a physical therapist. The common thread between all of these jobs, helping people. It's so great to see that those who we are helping, want to give back in the future.
We have great things to look forward to in the next two weeks. Next week, on March 26, we will be having a pizza party and on April 2 we will have the honor of hosting Judge Marlene Budd as she checks in on the participants to see how they are doing.
Stay tuned to this blog for updates after each session and as always, thank you for your support of Tikkun Long Island and Program LIVES.
